- Underground tanks are 100% water tight when installed to the manufacturers’ installation instructions. This minimizes your pumping costs — inflow and infiltration are eliminated, allowing the recirculation tank to pump effluent from the inlet assembly and filter return.
- Underground tanks’ water tight connections are ensured by fiberglassing the PVC inlet and outlet fittings.
- Underground tanks offer flexible design options including configuration for:
- Riser openings with internal flanges (used to hang pump vaults for turbine pump applications); riser openings can be designed anywhere on the tank top.
- Pump platforms (used for submersible centrifugal pumps).
- Pump quick-disconnect systems.
- Slide rails.
- Underground tanks supplied by Fextex are light, and easy to install.
- Underground tanks can withstand an H-20 traffic load.
- Standard underground tanks (six- to 12-foot diameter) can be buried up to seven feet; non-standard recirculation tanks can be designed for burials deeper than seven feet.
