   Drip Tube

Let's take a brief examination of Geoflow & Netafim drip systems.

This can best be achieved by a side by side comparison and then

reviewing the simularities & differences.

                                                Physical Features

     Geoflow

         * Ultra fresh - An anti microbial tributyl tin maleate which makes up the inner lining of the tube that prevents slime build up greater than 900 BOD

*Root Guard - Treflan impregnated into each emitter eliminating root intrusion

*Vortex & Geovac filters requiring no backflush

* Emitter turbulant flow path- helps keep fine particles from settling inside dripper

*Emitter Diaphram- flexes during dose mode to compensate for pressures ranging from 7-60 PSI

  Netafim

*Vinyzene impregnated emitter- antimicrobial protection to resist slime build-up can be used for septic tank effluent up to 220 BOD

 * Built in physical root barrier -water exits the dripper in one location while it exits the tubing in another

*Techfilter System- disc filter with replaceable cartridge embedded with trifluralin that prvents system root intrusion

*Self flushing, free floating diaphragm- flushes away debris during system operation

*Turbonet Technology- wide cross section that allows particles through flow path

Both (Geoflow & Netafim) dripfield systems prevent root intrusion & slime build up,

preventing clogs & ensuring dripper operation. They both are great in all soil types,

extreme slopes, septic and treated effluent conditions.

After examining the features of each product they look similar, with one large exception.

The difference is in the filtration systems. Geoflow uses vortex & geovac filters,

which require no backflush.  The Geoflow manufacturer recommended

dosing volumes are 1/2 ft per second.

A Netafim drip system utilizes disc filters in it's design where a 2ft per second flush

is the manufacturers recommendation. This is important because flushing 4 times the

velocities of Geoflow constitutes larger pumps, and a more complicated headworks system.
