Storm Water Detention Tanks

Steel stormwater detention tanks control hazards associated with major rainstorms. By storing

major water runoff you can prevent massive soil erosion and contamination of nearby

facilities. This process works by the tank(s) collecting the major rainwater surge, and

then distributing the water for reuse or disposal over time.

The two common answers for stormwater containment are detention ponds & storage

tanks. Stormwater detention tanks offer a more space efficient and watertight solution

than containment ponds. Although ponds detain water; by nature they collect oil and

trash, occupy valuable property space, are prone to freezing, and require regular maintenance.

CorGal Tank Structural

The steel structure materials used for CorGal tanks are hot-diped galvanized to a G-115 coating specification(350 grams/sq meter). The galvanized coating prevents oxidation of the steel base metal.  Heavier hot-dip galvanizing can also be provided for special corrosive atmospheres. Each tank can be equipped with a preliner and flexible membrane which distributes the water load uniformly across the foundation area.. The foundation strength is engineered taking in account the tank and water weight, sub soil and site climatic conditions.
